FSO (File System Object) Error

If you receive the above error when attempting to access a page that uses FSO, the server your domain is hosted on most likely does not support FSO.  All our newer servers support FSO but have Parent Paths disallowed as having both options enabled is a known security threat. However, we do have older servers that have FSO disallowed with Parent Paths enabled, which is what your domain is currently hosted on. If your domain needs the use of FSO, please contact us to request a server move to one of our newer servers that support the option.

Parent Paths Error

If you receive a "Parent Path is disallowed" error when attempting to access a page, the server your domain is hosted on most likely does not support parent paths.  All our newer servers support FSO but have Parent Paths disallowed as having both options enabled is a known security threat. However, we do have older servers that have FSO disallowed with Parent Paths enabled as some of our customers need the later of the two options enabled. If your domain needs the use of parent paths, please contact us to request a server move to one of our older servers that support the option.

Internet Explorer 500 Error

If you are using Internet Explorer and receive a "500" page error when loading your domain hosted with Setup Site Inc., please check your brower's settings to see if "Show friendly HTTP error messages" is enabled. What this option does, if enabled, is instead of showing users and developers what possible coding error(s) there may be for the domain, Internet Explorer gives a general error message. To disable the option, please do the following:

  1. Open Internet Explorer. Go to "Tools --> Internet Options...".

  2. Go to the "Advanced" tab and scroll towards the middle. Make sure "Show friendly HTTP error messages" is unchecked. Click the "OK" button and close any browser windows opened.

.NET Application Error

If you receive a general "Server Error in '/' Application" on one of your .NET pages, please check to ensure CustomErrors="Off" is set under the web.config file in the directory where you are receiving the error. If you still do not receive a specific error after the changes, please contact us and we will look into the matter.
